Ecclesiastes 2:24

A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God.

Insight:

    In these times, some people had these beliefs that while we are on earth we may not enjoy life that much. That it is not okay to have fun because what we need to do is just our responsibility as a christian. Like when it comes to money, some believe that only right amount of money to live for the day is good and having some extra money like maybe savings is bad and that we do not need money. Satan has managed to deceive in this are. It is not wrong to have an extra money and to enjoy it in a right and christian way.

     Too many people work constantly and stress themselves out, feeling guilty about enjoying and celebrating life when God has clearly ordained and commanded both labor and enjoyment. Ecclesiastes 2:24 says that it’s good for us to relax and enjoy ourselves in the midst of hard work.

     We need times of refreshment and recreation as well as work and accomplishment. You should be diligent in whatever task God has placed in front of you, but make sure that you find a balance by learning to reward yourself and enjoy life. God thinks you are worth it!
