The High Cost of Low Living

Matthew 16:26

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Insight:

Satan always find ways to tempts us to live a life that is easy, unholy, and favored by others in worlds view but not of God’s standard. 

One of the worst mistakes we can make is to be self-righteous or behave or conduct oneself in a way that pleases or satisfies others. A mindset of low expectations holds us back because God can only do through us what we believe for.

It might be difficult to live up into God’s standard but that is if we only rely on our own strength. If we lift up our struggles and burdens to Him and desire to have a constant monitoring of our hearts and minds, we can do it. 

Let us not spend time in resisting the will of God because if we do we will end up as a failure.

Low living has a high cost. Nothing is worth giving up the wonderful, peaceful, joyful, righteous, holy life we can have in Christ here on earth.
